MINISTRIES
SUNDAY SCHOOL
Every Sunday morning, we provide Christian Education classes from 9:15am-10:00am. We currently have a Toddler class (2-4), an Elementary class (5-11), a Middle/High School class (12-17), and an Adult class (18+).
The Adult class includes units on biblical theology, systematic theology, church history, and Christian living.
The Middle/High School class covers the Westminster Confession of Faith (3 years), a Survey of the Bible (2 years), and a Survey of Church History (1 year).
The Elementary class has two main objectives: to prepare our covenant youth (1) to actively participate in our morning worship services with understanding and (2) to have the theological knowledge and understanding that will support their profession of faith when they are spiritually ready to become communicant members of the church.
The Toddler class seeks to provide basic Bible story contenet and help our littlest worshippers to become familiar with the songs featured in worship.
Covenant Childcare
(Nursery)
We believe our children are a part of our church’s covenant community, for the promises of our God extend to the entire family, and our Savior welcomes the praises of children. So, we welcome them to worship with the rest of the congregation. We do not provide an alternate worship service or “Children’s Church” for them. However, we do provide safe and loving childcare for children ages 0-3 during our 10:30am service. Our childcare volunteers are grateful for the opportunity to serve families by caring for their children during worship. Covenant Childcare is provided off of the front foyer of the church, next to the women’s bathroom. For more infromation, please view our Covenant Childcare policies.
FELLOWSHIP MEALS
Our church family loves to share the gifts of good food with one another and spend time together over a meal. Currently, we hold a 12:45pm fellowship luncheon every Sunday (except for the first Sunday of every month) in the back of our worship hall.
We also hold quarterly church family meetings before or during our fellowship luncheons for the purpose of providing our members with quarterly financial reports and updates from Pastor Bob on the goings on in our presbytery and denomination.
The Afternoon Gathering
The Afternoon Gathering is a one-hour ministry after the fellowship luncheon on the Lord’s Day. We reconvene at 2:00pm so that what we have heard in the morning service can take deeper root through conversation, prayer, and closer fellowship with one another around God’s Word.
After a brief time together in the worship hall, we meet in fellowship groups of 5-10 people each for about forty minutes. Using discussion guides prepared by Pastor Bob, we seek a clearer understanding of the morning ministry, share the convictions the Spirit is placing on our hearts, and help one another identify how to live it out in faith, repentance, and obedience. We then pray for one another.
During this same time Pastor Bob and other helpers lead a children’s group for ages 5–11, with age-appropriate discussion of the morning passage, Westminster Shorter Catechism instruction, and training in prayer. Families with infants and toddlers may use the nursery.
We close together and finish by 3:00 p.m. All are welcome.
